Giants make it two in a row; defeat Yankees in World Series 4 games to 2

The Giants added yet another world championship to their tally, beating the Yankees 4 games to 2 in the 2011 World Series. Justin Verlander was MVP after shutting down the potent Yankee offense to pave the way.

The Giants enter 2012 as the consensus you-would-have-to-be-an-idiot-to-lose-with-this-team favorite to take it all again next year and accomplish a three-peat.

Congrats to the Giants and on to hot stove action!
