Standings -- March 8, 2011

A hearty Redwood SOM welcome to our latest expansion franchise, the...

Brewers!

Tony will be a formidable opponent, but at least the Reds' brain trust has been reduced by about 90%. So we got that going for us.

2. Rockies (14-8), .636, 0.5 GB
3. Reds (12-8), .600, 1.5 GB

10. Red Sox (0-0), .000, N/A

BTW -- look who's doing better than her dad's strat team (and I think she had the same look on her face when he won the World Series last year):

Tuesday, March 1, 2011

Standings -- March 1, 2011

Off we go!

Just before we drafted during the weekend of debauchery which is the Redwood SOM draft, we voted to eliminate divisions and go to one big league, with the top five making the playoffs: seeds four versus five in the best-of-five Elimination Round; Elimination Round winner versus number one seed, and seed two versus seed three in the semi-finals; and the winners advancing to the World Series.

Rumor has it we may be looking at an expansion team very soon.

Yankees hoped to avoid the colors curse coming out of Bodega Weekend but, even though they have a lower winning percentage than the Rockies, they're eight over and the Rocks are seven over. So the Yankees get the colors. And the curse?

1. Yankees (17-9), .654, 0.0 GB
2. Rockies (13-6), .684, 0.5 GB
3. Cardinals (13-10), .565, 2.5 GB
4. Reds (9-8), .529, 3.5 GB
5. Athletics (8-9), .471, 4.5 GB
6. Pirates (8-9), .471, 4.5 GB
7. Mets (9-12), .429, 5.5 GB
8. Cubs (6-13), .316, 7.5 GB
9. Giants (5-12), .294, 7.5 GB
10. Red Sox (0-0), .000, N/A

Here's the Big Board!

Next action: Nothing scheduled for sure but lots of chatter. Something will happen soon, and stay tuned for Foggy Bottom's opening.
